Each of the 2026-W 1 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coins available here has been graded PF70. This grade represents a coin with full mint brilliance and no visible marks. The UCAM designation means ultra-cameo proof and refers to the distinct contrast between the frosted design features and the highly reflective background fields.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026-W Proof American Gold Eagle is the classic image of Lady Liberty created by Saint-Gaudens. Liberty strides forward while holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The rays of the rising sun appear behind her, reinforcing themes of optimism and forward progress.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026-W 1 oz Proof Gold Eagle presents a detailed close-up of the American bald eagle. This design was introduced in 2021 as a new look for the series, replacing the earlier eagle family design used for many years. The portrait-style image highlights the eagles feathers and watchful expression.
History
The Gold Eagle Series has featured the artwork of Augustus Saint-Gaudens since its introduction in 1986. His famous Lady Liberty design first appeared in 1907 on the $20 Double Eagle coin and is widely considered one of the most admired designs in American coin history. Saint-Gaudens created a Liberty figure that reflects strength and motion, drawing inspiration from classical artistic traditions.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
