{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The year 2026 brings a major anniversary for the United States, as July 4 marks 250 years since the nations founding. This semiquincentennial celebration, known as America250, is being honored across the country through special commemorations and limited releases. As part of this historic observance, the United States Mint has issued a Proof American Silver Eagle featuring design updates that reflect the significance of the occasion. BGASC now offers 2026-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition for collectors and investors.
Highlights:
These 2026-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins are graded in near-perfect condition. A PF69 designation means the coin retains full original luster with only very small imperfections, such as faint hairlines or tiny contact marks outside focal areas. UCAM indicates ultra-cameo contrast, with frosted devices set against mirrored fields. Early Release signifies the coin was submitted for certification within 30 days of its initial release.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle is Adolph A. Weinmans timeless Walking Liberty design. Liberty is shown in full stride as she moves toward the rising sun, symbolizing progress and hope. She wears the American flag and extends her right hand forward, while oak and laurel branches rest in her left arm. This edition includes the America250 Liberty Bell privy mark along with a dual-date inscription marking the nations founding and anniversary.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2026-W Proof American Silver Eagle showcases Emily Damstras detailed image of the American bald eagle. The eagle appears in flight, descending with wings raised high. In its talons, it carries a thick oak branch, reinforcing themes of strength and endurance. This modern reverse design has been part of the series since 2021.
History
Proof Silver Eagle production in the 2010s reflected shifting collector demand and new design initiatives. The U.S. Mint released special anniversary coins and reverse proof versions during the decade, adding variety to the series. The 25th anniversary issue in 2011 drew strong attention, while later years featured more limited mintages than earlier periods. The West Point Mints W mint mark became closely associated with proof strikes during this era.
