Each 1 oz Burnished American Gold Eagle Coin listed on BGASC comes in a presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity from the United States Mint. These coins are available from random years, spanning from 2006 to 2008 and 2011 to the present. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee a specific date or design in advance, so if you buy multiples, you might receive coins with matching dates and reverse designs.
The highest mintages in the Burnished Gold Eagle Series occurred just before the temporary stoppage in production in 2009 and 2010. During these years of increased demand for gold bullion, the US Mint prioritized the production of BU Gold Eagles.
On the obverse, you’ll find Liberty’s front-facing portrait, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. Liberty holds a torch in her right hand, an olive branch in her left, with the U.S. Capitol Building, sun rays, and a ring of 50 stars in the background.
Reverse designs on 1 oz Burnished Gold Eagles include either Miley Busiek’s original family of bald eagles or the new portrait of an American bald eagle. Miley Busiek’s design is common up to mid-2021, with the new design found on 2021 Type 2 coins and coins issued from 2022 onward.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
