Obverse
The obverse of Proof Morgan Dollar Coins features George T. Morgans original design of Lady Liberty. Shown in left-profile, Liberty wears a Phrygian cap decorated with cotton and wheat to represent American agriculture. The design is influenced by classical styles commonly found in ancient Greek and Roman coinage.
Reverse
On the reverse, a heraldic eagle is shown with wings spread wide. The eagle holds arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing readiness and peace. Surrounding the eagle is a partial wreath made of cotton and wheat, tying the reverse design to the agricultural themes seen on the obverse.
History
The Morgan Dollar was struck heavily in the 1890s following the passage of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act, which required the government to acquire large quantities of silver. After the act was repealed in 1893, mintages declined sharply. Production became irregular, and by the early 20th century, only a small number of Morgan Dollars were struck through 1904 as interest in silver dollar circulation diminished.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
